Sourcing Manager Airline Operations till SAS, Stockholm

SAS Strategic Sourcing is a central function that aims to be the best purchasing organization in the airline industry. The department is multi-cultural, fun and energetic. 24 FTEs (May 2024).

The Role

As Sourcing Manager, you will support the Category Manager in driving and managing business transformation for assigned categories.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and own the RFx process from end to end.

  • Commercial and contractual negotiations.

  • Manage suppliers through their lifecycle, including supplier risk, contract management and relationship management.

  • Challenge the organization to find the best commercial solution for SAS.

  • Optimize the supplier base for assigned categories to deliver best business value.

  • Prepare PPT and business case for SAS Management approval.

This position reports to the Head of Fuel and Operations and is office based four days per week (Monday - Thursday). SAS office is located in Frösundavik.

Desired Experience and Education

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar role

  • Strong experience in Supplier relation management, contract management and negotiations.

  • Strong experience from preparing price trends and business case calculations as well as Power Point presentations.

  • University degree in engineering or science
